Palazzo is our winning competition proposal for a high-quality urban residential block, located on the edge of Topelius Park in Taka-Töölö. The project offers modern living comfort in a historical neighborhood, blending seamlessly with Taka-Töölö's 1920’s architectural context.
The design ensures optimized light conditions and stunning views by strategically opening the building masses, allowing sunlight to penetrate the courtyard and providing long, unobstructed views from the residential spaces.
The architecture features light or medium-light muted brick facades that maintain harmony with the surroundings. Recessed balconies are integrated into the building plans, enhancing the apartments' spatial experience and openness.
Palazzo emphasizes urban living with flexible commercial spaces on the street level, supporting vibrant urban life similar to Töölöntori. These adaptable spaces can meet varying demands and serve as auxiliary spaces connected directly to the parking garage. This combination of thoughtful design and high-quality materials creates a refined, sustainable urban living environment that respects Taka-Töölö's historical context while meeting the needs of modern residents.
